Closing the Gap adopts managed IT
solution
MISSISSAUGA, Ont. – Closing the Gap
Healthcare Group (CTG) a firm of 600 healthcare professionals located in
six offices across Ontario, recently entered into a $400,000 long-term
contract with ThinDesk Inc., a provider of managed, thin-client
solutions.
CTG moves from the traditional PC , local server model to Canada’s only
Utility Computing service, according to the company. Utilizing
ThinDesk’s Desktop Thin Computing technology, CTG employees have
real-time 24/7 access from anywhere in the world to their data.
TELUS manages ThinDesk’s Virtual Server farm within one of their SAS 70
Data Centers. ThinDesk provides access to CTG through a secured
private-area-network connecting with thin-client technology, thereby
eliminating the need for PC management services. CTG with this
leading-edge IT solution meets PHIPA compliance standards and Ontario
Ministry of Health IT governance requirements.
ThinDesk’s solution delivers full IT collaboration among CTG’s mobile
and scattered workforce. CTG estimates savings by moving to the ThinDesk
IT Managed Solution of more than 40%.
