New report on the Canadian EMR market available

VANCOUVER – CanadianEMR has produced a 29-page analysis of the Canadian marketplace for clinical information systems in physician practices. Titled ‘Physicians & Technology: The Frontline Perspective’, the report is selling for $495 and is available at www.canadianemr.ca.

Physicians & Technology includes a province by province breakdown of the market for electronic medical records. It covers the various incentive programs in place in each jurisdiction, and outlines the vendors who have established footholds in these provinces.

The report also touches on topics such as the impact of group practices on the EMR; the impact of Canada Health Infoway funding; and the rapidly changing EMR market.

A section of the study covers the role of IT in the management of chronic disease; a transcript of a roundtable discussion involving several IT and chronic care experts is included.
