New, Toronto-based healthcare IT conference announced
TORONTO – HIMSS
Ontario Chapter has partnered with Diversified Business Communications
Canada to launch itHealthcare Canada - an annual event to promote and
explore the use of information technology and innovation in healthcare.
The inaugural itHealthcare Canada Conference & Exhibition will be held
at the International Centre, (near Pearson International Airport),
Toronto, October 4-6, 2010.
HIMSS is the healthcare industry’s membership organization exclusively
focused on providing global leadership for the optimal use of healthcare
information technology and management systems. HIMSS-Ontario leadership
will plan and develop a high quality core education component
specifically designed to meet the needs of healthcare providers.
“HIMSS brings together outstanding educational opportunities for its
membership,” said Edith Gorman (pictured), President of HIMSS-Ontario.
“Our partnership with Diversified allows us to expand these
opportunities rapidly into the market place for the benefit of all
healthcare providers.”
itHealthcare Canada Conference & Exhibition will be held annually in
Toronto. Diversified, a conference and trade show producer, will execute
the promotion and plan all operational logistics including a large trade
show component for vendors to showcase the latest in healthcare
technology and systems management.

Ontario for a healthcare event focused on I.T., said Bob Macgregor,
