Providence Care consolidates reporting
solution
KINGSTON, Ont. –
Providence Care, and B Sharp Technologies Inc., of Toronto, have
announced a partnership for the implementation of B Care, a solution
known for its ability to consolidate the collection and reporting of
mental health, chronic care and rehabilitation data.
The solution also facilitates the delivery of information for compliance
with provincial and regional reporting to the Canadian Institute for
Health Information (CIHI) and the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care
(MOHLTC).
According to Dan Coghlan (pictured), Vice-President Finance, Information
Management & Chief Financial Officer, “The B Care solution was selected
as the best product for Providence Care. The data will be used to
determine care paths, and will also be used in our case costing - it is
part of the overall strategy to improve the quality of patient
assessment data, health care delivery and hospital performance.”
Coghlan added that, “We required a platform that offers flexibility to
quickly adapt to evolving provincial and regional reporting standards
and best practices. We required a solution that seamlessly integrates
with our electronic health information system and promotes clinical
utilization to facilitate better health outcomes across all Providence
Care’s programs.”
Robert Lazar, B Sharp’s Chief Executive Officer and co-founder noted,
“We are pleased to welcome Providence Care to the B Sharp family of
organizations and we are extremely excited about teaming up with a
leading hospital committed to the people they serve.”
