New CEO nominated for eHealth Ontario
TORONTO – Mr. Greg
A. Reed (pictured) has been nominated as the new Chief Executive Officer
(CEO) and member of eHealth Ontario’s board of directors. The nomination
is subject to review by the Standing Committee on Government Agencies.
“Greg is the seasoned leader that we sought,” said Ray Hession, chair of
the board of directors at eHealth Ontario. “He is a leader with
exceptional capacity to work in teams and collaborate with the health
sector leaders whose needs we seek to satisfy.”
Reed has held key positions within the private sector including
President and CEO of Dundee Bank of Canada, President and CEO at
Altamira Investment Services and SVP, National Bank of Canada. Mr. Reed
has also served as a Director, Principal and Associate of McKinsey &
Company. He holds a B.Sc. degree in Computer Science from the University
of Toronto and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
eHealth Ontario is the organization responsible for implementing the
government’s ehealth agenda and creating an electronic health record for
all Ontarians by 2015.
