EMR producer Healthscreen in receivership

TORONTO – Healthscreen Solutions Inc., a developer of a widely used electronic medical record system for doctors’ offices, announced that a receiver has been appointed to manage the transition and transfer of the company’s assets. QHR has stated it will make an offer for the software assets.

Healthscreen said it will work closely with the receiver to ensure that successful purchasers of its software and service units are found and that the transition does not impact day-to-day doctor office productivity.

Stewart Davis (pictured) resigned effective September 1, 2011 as CEO, President and Director. Dr. Bruce Rosenberg resigned effective September 1, 2011 as Chief Medical Officer and Director. Both Mr. Davis and Dr. Rosenberg will continue to assist the Receiver and the successful purchasers.
