Nightingale expands services to U.S.
care provider
MARKHAM, Ont. – Nightingale Informatix Corp., a
Canadian and U.S.-based developer of Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and
Practice Management solutions, announced a $1.6 million contract to
provide its enterprise EMR application to the Center for Disability
Services (CFDS), based in Albany, New York.
CFDS is an existing customer, utilizing Nightingale’s Entity Practice
Management solution, and will acquire Nightingale’s EMR solution in
order to better track clinical information on patients and improve
operational efficiency.
Under the terms of the agreement, Nightingale will license its CCHIT-certified
EMR solution to CFDS in return for approximately $1.6 million in
license, implementation and training fees over the term of the
agreement. Implementation will begin in January 2007 and is expected to
be rolled out to 220 healthcare practitioners in phases throughout 2007
and into 2008.
“We’re delighted to be able to extend our footprint with CFDS and have
the opportunity to assist them in deploying our leading EMR application
throughout their organization,” said John Bodolai, VP of Sales and
Marketing of Nightingale Informatix Corporation. “CFDS is one of the
most prominent and widely respected facilities for disability services
in the U.S., and we believe this agreement enhances our presence in the
EMR market and further validates the cross-selling synergies inherent in
our recent acquisition of Integrated Healthware.”
“CFDS deals with thousands of clients who have complex medical
conditions. We required an EMR solution that had the flexibility to
adapt to our unique requirements, while helping us remain at the
forefront of quality of patient care,” said Pat Reilly, Chief Operating
Officer of CFDS. “We’ve had a good on-going relationship with
Nightingale and they are an ideal partner. CFDS will be able to deploy
Nightingale’s robust EMR, which can easily integrate into our Entity
Scheduling and Billing system. This will improve operational efficiency
within our facilities so that our clinicians can devote more of their
time dealing with clients and less time on administrative tasks and
paperwork.”
