Orillia Family Health selects Clinicare to supply EMR

Clinicare Corp., of Calgary, announced that it has been selected by the Orillia Family Health Network, based in Orillia, Ont., to implement their OntarioMD approved Clinical Management Solution (CMS).

Clinicare’s top-ranked Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and Practice Management Applications (PMA) will be installed in late September. An aggressive eight-week training schedule to nine different locations is expected to result in improved sharing of medical records and patient demographic data. Each practice will maintain its own separate Clinicare billing system.

A single Clinicare database server will manage all patient data, enabling information sharing between Orillia FHT physicians and other care providers at nine different sites.

Secure access will be through the Smart Systems for Health Agency (SSHA) network. The implementation calls for a variety of workstations, including PCs (both desktop and wireless tablet), thin clients and Macintosh computers. The Clinicare solution will include both inbound and outbound fax capability, as well as EDI-Lab interfaces to Gamma Dynacare and MDS.
