Sobeys pharmacies in PEI connect to
DIS
CHARLOTTETOWN, PEI – Emergis Inc.,
a TELUS company, announced that it has completed deployment of its
next-generation pharmacy management software in Prince Edward Island (P.E.I.)
and that it connected local Sobeys pharmacies to the provincial Drug
Information System (DIS) for the first time.
“The successful launch of our pharmacy software management system at
Sobeys pharmacies in P.E.I. clearly demonstrates our continuous
commitment to supporting pharmacists in their daily practice, while
enabling them to be up-to-date with provincial e-health initiatives,”
said François Gratton, executive vice-president, Provider Solutions at
Emergis. “Our innovative technology helps pharmacists provide
value-added services to their customers through pro-active patient
follow-up programs such as better drug adherence and adverse drug
reactions prevention.”
Emergis pharmacy management software, Assyst Rx, is a high performance,
fully integrated system that allows pharmacies to efficiently manage
their patient files, dispensing of medications, inventory and
professional information. The Assyst Rx system is compliant with the
HL7v3 standard, which allows pharmacists to interface seamlessly and
securely with the provincial DIS.
“We are thrilled about our partnership with Emergis,” said William C.
