Orion deepens its expertise in remote patient monitoring
December 16, 2015
TORONTO – Orion Health, a leader in population health management and healthcare integration, has announced the appointment of Martin Trépanier (pictured, left) as Orion Health’s director of Quebec operations and principal consultant. The company also appointed Maxime Terrettaz (pictured, right) as solution architect for Quebec region initiatives. Together they will help roll out Orion Health’s Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM) solution for the North American market.
With more than 15 years of experience as a clinician and product manager with a keen focus on chronic disease management, Trépanier will lead Orion Health’s RPM solution development efforts.
Prior to joining Orion Health, Trépanier and his team developed and brought to market an RPM solution using Orion Health’s technology stack as the framework. The solution was selected for provincial implementation by the Quebec Ministry of Health and Social Services in 2015.
“Canadian provinces are adapting to help chronic disease patients manage their conditions outside of formal healthcare settings, so they can stay out of the hospital,” said Gary Folker, executive vice president North America, Orion Health.
“Our remote patient monitoring solution will help meet this with a robust solution that cost-effectively bridges gaps between patients and clinicians. Martin’s unique history as a developer, manager and clinician enables him to understand what an organization needs at all levels from a remote patient monitoring solution.”
Leading the company’s RPM technology team, Terrettaz will also be in charge of developing existing and future Orion Health solutions delivered within the Quebec region. Terrettaz has more than 10 years of experience as a software engineer across multiple industries, with the past six years focused on healthcare solution development.
“Maxime’s strong analytic capabilities and insight into the needs of the customer means he can adapt and evolve a solution’s capabilities to the needs of a population,” said Folker. “His expertise will help Orion Health provide solutions that work for individual patients as well as the province as a whole.”
These new hires complement Orion Health Canada’s recent acquisition of the Community Care Solution (CCS) currently being piloted by the Quebec Ministry of Health and Social Services. The RPM solution will continue to be rolled out across the province under the leadership and direction of Trépanier and Terrettaz.
