If you’re reading this you already know that Technology for Doctors has
become Technology for Doctors Online. We are using electrons rather than
paper to distribute the publication, which will now appear twice per
month rather than quarterly. Two dozen issues per year instead of four.
We’ll have about the same number of articles per issue as before but, on
average, they will be much shorter. The 2,000 word feature is a thing of
the past.
We’ll still be examining the same issues in healthcare IT but, for the
first time, we’ll include more timely news items, the kind that weren’t
a good match for our previous publication schedule. We will provide a
forum for our readers to offer their opinions and to tell their stories.
Anything involving the use of computer and information technology in
healthcare is fair game.
We will take advantage of the interactive nature of the internet by
offering regular one-question multiple-choice polls on timely healthcare
topics, with the results reported in the following issue. Providing a
response to a poll is its own reward but readers who take a few seconds
to participate will be eligible for prizes such as anti-virus software
and keyboards.
