Humber River Hospital uses analytics to give patients a new standard of care
October 1, 2019
Humber River Hospital, in Toronto, has launched the second phase of its Command Centre. The Wall of Analytics displays real-time feeds from various parts of the hospital, alerting staff to the declining condition of patients and enabling caregivers to take quick action. In this way, and with protocols for responding to the alerts, the hospital intends to improve patient safety and health outcomes. It’s a first-in-the-world centre, created in partnership with GE Healthcare, using analytics and machine learning technologies.
