Nightingale to deploy NexJ offering

April 2, 2014

TORONTO – NexJ Systems Inc., a provider of cloud-based software and solutions, and Nightingale Informatix Corp., one of North America’s largest cloud-based Electronic Health Record (EHR) companies, announced an agreement to integrate NexJ Connected Wellness with the Nightingale On Demand EHR system.

NexJ Connected Wellness is a cloud-based solution that is used by healthcare providers to activate patients so they can proactively manage their chronic conditions. The solution enables access to patient health information, improves care coordination through the delivery of patient-friendly shared care plans and, with personal health coaching, supports self-assessed biometrics and feedback from a health coach to drive sustainable behavior change.

NexJ Connected Wellness will allow Nightingale’s clients to offer patients access to copies of their health information from Nightingale’s EHR and give them the ability to share it with their care team, as well as family, friends, and care advocates.

Nightingale’s clients will be able to create and deliver shared care plans and provide improved support for patients in meeting their health and wellness goals with personal health coaching.

“For people to effectively take an active role in managing their health and wellness it is fundamental that they have access to their health information. When people understand their health conditions and are coached to take a more responsible role in their own health and wellness, their outcomes and quality of life improve,” said Eric Gombrich (pictured), Senior Vice President & General Manager, NexJ Health Solutions. “We make it possible for Nightingale’s clients to empower their 8 million patients to become healthier”.

“NexJ is a proven innovator that is taking a leadership position in the movement towards a people-centered healthcare model and we are pleased to be teaming with them in effecting this transformation,” said Trevor Henderson, Executive Vice President, Operations of Nightingale.

“Having successfully gained traction with our next-generation EHR systems, we are excited to broaden our offerings and deliver further value to our clients and their patients.”

Nightingale and NexJ have identified a pilot site for this new capability and have started integrating their respective solutions for deployment during the next quarter.
