Logi-D Inc. enters agreement to be acquired by Tecsys Inc.

June 4, 2014

MONTREAL – Logi-D Inc., a leading provider of hospital point-of-use supply chain automation technology, is proud to announce that it is now an operating division of Tecsys Inc., an industry-leading supply chain management software company.

“I am truly delighted with this new venture as it ensures the continuation of what we have built over the last 15 years,” said Richard Philippe (pictured), founder of Logi-D. “We have great respect for the Tecsys brand and what they have accomplished in the healthcare sector. We share a common goal of bringing proven industrial supply chain best practices to healthcare.

“We initially approached Tecsys to explore how we might work together to expand the value of each other’s offering, which eventually resulted in this transaction. We look forward to working together with Tecsys’ employees and customers as we collaborate in our ongoing growth efforts.”

Mr. Philippe has accepted the position of Vice President, Healthcare Solutions, assuming responsibility of Tecsys’ portfolio of solutions in the healthcare sector. This will include Logi-D’s iD-SUITE of solutions, now an integral component of the Tecsys offering.

“We were very fortunate to cross paths with Logi-D,” said Peter Brereton, President and CEO of Tecsys. “We find in Logi-D the perfect strategic partner profile whose iD-SUITE complements our existing offering and deepens our healthcare solutions portfolio. Our joint product offering will create a unique and exciting product outlook, combining for the most innovative and unified end-to-end hospital supply chain platform,” said. Brereton.

The agreement will preserve Logi-D as a semi-autonomous operating division of Tecsys, with no disruption to existing or prospective client hospitals.
