Dr Trevor Cradduck

Trevor Cradduck honoured by nuclear med society

June 18, 2014

CALGARY – The Canadian Society of Nuclear Medicine honoured Dr. Trevor Cradduck (pictured) with its 2014 CANM Emeritus Award. This is the Association’s highest award and it is given to an individual in recognition of the contributions made to the Nuclear Medicine community.

Dr. Cradduck was educated as a Medical Physicist in Nuclear Medicine – he earned a PhD at the University of Saskatchewan in medical physics. He spent many years at the Victoria Hospital in London, Ontario, and finished up there as Professor and Chairman of the University of Western Ontario’s Division of Nuclear Medicine.

In 1995 he was asked to manage the implementation of a metropolitan area network known as LARG*net which continues to provide networking services to a considerably expanded number and range of clients beyond those originally engaged in 1995.

In 1997 he moved on to ONet which, at that time, provided the Internet services to all the universities and colleges in Ontario; in 1999, he was invited to become the Director of Telehealth in Alberta where he remained for three years before retiring.
