May 20, 2015
TORONTO – With 400+ attendees, 33 sponsors, 34 exhibitors and a stellar panel of expert speakers and judges, MaRS HealthKick 2015 has become Canada’s largest health venture showcase. Building on the success of last year’s inaugural event, MaRS HealthKick 2015 brought together hundreds of members of the North American investment community, as well as key health industry leaders and ecosystem players.
This year’s pitch competition also expanded to include health ventures from across the country, narrowed down to 39 of Canada’s most promising health startups through a rigorous application review.
After a full day of pitches, the 2015 judges chose one winner from each showcase track for the $20,000 cash prize. The award sponsors were AstraZeneca, Amgen, Baxter, Canada Health Infoway, Medtronic and Saint Elizabeth Health Care.
