Don Juzwishin joins board of HTAi as Treasurer

EDMONTON – Don Juzwishin (pictured), PhD, Director of Health Technology Assessment & Innovation, at Alberta Health Services, has been elected Treasurer of Health Technology Assessment International (HTAi) for a three-year term.
HTAi is the global scientific and professional society for all those who produce, use, or encounter Health Technology Assessment. HTAi has members from over 65 countries and embraces all stakeholders, including researchers, agencies, policy makers, industry, academia, health service providers, and patients/consumers. It is a neutral forum for collaboration and the sharing of leading information and expertise.
The members regularly participate in Meetings, Policy Fora and Interest Sub-groups. HTAi also provides access to a variety of resources including the International Journal of Technology Assessment in Health Care (IJTAHC).
HTAi is governed by an elected Board of Directors that is supported by an Executive Committee, several Advisory Committees, and a Secretariat.
HTAi hosts ISGs in the following areas:
- Conditional coverage/access with evidence development
- Disinvestment
- Ethical issues in HTA
- Hospital-based HTA
- HTA-regulatory interactions
- HTA in developing countries
- HTAi early career network
- Information resources
- Patient and citizen involvement
- Impact of Public Health interventions
