Gevity’s Leon Salvail leads COACH Board

Leon SalvailTORONTO – COACH is pleased to announce its 2016/2017 Board of Directors, led by incoming president and board chair Leon Salvail (pictured), president & CEO, Gevity Consulting Inc.

An active COACH member, Leon has been a board director and the vice president for the last two years. His many contributions to the association include serving on the Finance and Audit Committee and e-Health Conference, Emerging Professionals and Strategy Renewal Working Groups.

As president and CEO of Gevity, Leon has capably guided the company’s steady growth since its founding days. In 1995, Leon and two associates formed the partnership that became Gevity (formerly known as Global Village Consulting Inc.).

The Board elected Leon as president at the board meeting June 24 after COACH members elected him during the Board election for five vacant positions in April. The other newly elected Board Directors are:

  • Susan Anderson, managing director, Orion Health;
  • Hélène Clément, health informatics T.R.M consultant, Independent Consultant;
  • Elizabeth Keller, vice-president, product strategy & delivery, OntarioMD;
  • Christine Sham, manager, strategy, planning and alignment, eHealth Strategy and Investment Branch, Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care.

The other members of the 2016/2017 Board are: Mike Barron, president & CEO, Newfoundland and Labrador Centre for Health Information (Past President); Linda Blair, partner, Deloitte; Shiran Isaacksz, senior director – regional/provincial portfolio, Shared Information Management Services, University Health Network; and Margarita Loyola, regional manager, Telehealth, Island Health.

Shiran Isaacksz was named vice president and Linda Blair was named secretary-treasurer at the June 24 Board meeting.
