Continuing Care
Bayshore partners with Sensory Technologies
June 7, 2018
LONDON, Ont. – Bayshore HealthCare Ltd. and Sensory Technologies Inc. have announced a national collaboration to provide eShift services. The companies will collaborate on joint opportunities around the implementation of the eShift platform, support of clinical personnel and patients within Canada.
Through the combination of Bayshore’s market leading clinical expertise and Sensory Technologies award-winning technology platform, the team will enable innovative directed care programs with health authorities, hospitals and community care organizations across Canada
Using eShift, virtual support teams are constructed, with a remote, registered nurse supervising and directing a team of onsite care technicians. Each clinician provides care to several patients, and through the use of the technology, updates their medical charts in real-time.
A unified, secure stream of patient information is created between the virtual support team members, allowing for immediate medical support and direction 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Both Bayshore and Sensory Tech see each of the next three years as opportunities to shape the healthcare sector’s roadmap in support of the need for transparency, patient access to care and information, alliances and innovation.
“Bayshore HealthCare is excited to be working with Sensory Technologies’ eShift platform,” said Elissa Gamble (pictured), national director, Bayshore Home Care Solutions. “Our clients can remain in the comfort of their homes, receiving the care they need, while the eShift technology provides our caregivers immediate medical support and direction as required.”
For its part, Sensory Tech looks forward to utilizing its eShift platform in support of Bayshore’s home and long-term care services and, by the use of eShift, augment existing programs through operational cost reductions, better reporting and improved quality of care.
Together, the two organizations will focus on solutions for Complex Child Care, Acute COPD and CHF sufferers, post-surgical patient transition to home and complex geriatric care needs, including palliative respite services for patients and caregivers.
“At Sensory Technologies, the core of what we do is remove the barriers for patients when it comes to the provision of and receipt of quality care from our healthcare systems,” said Andrew Matthews, vice president, Sensory Technologies. “We expect that this partnership with Bayshore will allow us both to dramatically improve the lives of the most fragile Canadian patients.”
