iGan Partners’ offering $250,000 to start-up
September 18, 2018
TORONTO – iGan Partners is seeking innovative medical device and healthcare IT companies with life altering technology to pitch their company at iGan Pitch Fest. One company will secure a $250,000 investment on October 25th 2018.
In addition to the $250,000, iGan will help the winner build a board of advisors to support and guide the company.
“We believe Toronto has one of the best medtech start up ecosystems in the world,” said Sam Ifergan (pictured), founder & CEO of iGan Partners. “We have backed many local early-stage companies that are now successful and we are looking for the next gem. $250,000 along with significant coaching and key advisors can hopefully help a company achieve the next stage in its development.”
Preparation for the focus of the pitch competition iGan Partners conducted a survey of over 10,000 Canadians to determine what healthcare issues concern them the most.
iGan Partners is looking for companies that directly address the results of its survey: Ontarian’s are most concerned about:
1. Cancer
2. Mental Health
3. Diabetes
The entries will be narrowed to three companies that address these diseases. They will pitch to a panel of judges made up of CEO’s from iGan Partners healthcare portfolio.
The pitch competition will take place on October 25th and the winner will win a $250,000 investment. The iGan pitch competition will continue with iGan Partners yearly October Tekfest party celebrating the great Toronto inventive ecosystem.
