Holland Bloorview welcomes VP of innovation

Bohodar RubashewskyTORONTO – Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital is thrilled to welcome Bohodar Rubashewsky (pictured) as vice-president, corporate innovation and services. Bohodar’s first day will be November 12, 2018.

Bohodar has a passion for public service, with over 30 years of experience. In his role at Holland Bloorview, he will oversee and provide leadership for finance, information services, materials management, building and environmental services, food services and health records.

He will play a critical role in driving the hospital’s No Boundaries strategy, while leading in key areas such as advancing our digital health strategy and enhancing administrative effectiveness and excellence.

Among his many accomplishments in the public service, Bohodar has crafted financial strategies and budget plans ranging in size from $2B to $27B, facilitated capital expansion plans, provided executive oversight to audit and risk management teams to drive long-term planning and provided leadership in new technology implementation affecting over 10,000 users.

Bohodar currently serves as assistant deputy minister, corporate management and services at the Ontario Ministries of Education and Training, Colleges and Universities. A public servant since 1986, Bohodar has also held senior executive positions with the Ministries of Community and Social Services, Children & Youth Services, Energy & Infrastructure and Transportation.

He also worked in Ontario’s Ministry of Finance and Cabinet Office, as well as with the Government of Canada, and in 2009-10 was seconded to the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation as its Interim Chief Executive Officer.
