TORONTO – Spend a day with Canada’s leading health and privacy law experts and gain a clear understanding of the potential risks you face when it comes to healthcare privacy, including regulatory investigations, litigation and reputational risk.
The conference is titled: 2019 Legal Guide to Privacy & Information Management in Healthcare. It will be held in Toronto, April 9, 2019 (9:00 a.m. – 4:15 p.m. EDT), and it’s available in-person or via webcast.

- Consequences for unauthorized access, including prosecutions for offences
- Understanding the duty to consult under the Substitute Decisions Act
- How protection of privacy and security can work together
The keynote address will be supplied by Brian Beamish, Commissioner, Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Ontario. Mr Beamish will give “An Update on PHIPA from the IPC.”
