Ontario Tech University’s new Medical School pathway

September 29, 2021

Dr Lori LivingstonOSHAWA, Ont. – Ontario Tech University offers some of the most technologically advanced and modern undergraduate programs available anywhere. Discover one of the many pathway programs to kickstart your dream of becoming a medical doctor or explore additional opportunities in medicine and health.

The university’s newest option for medicine and health graduates is the Medical School pathway, offered through Ontario Tech’s international partnerships with Saba University School of Medicine (Dutch Caribbean), Medical University of the Americas (West Indies), and St. Matthew’s University School of Medicine (Cayman Islands).

This global partnership highlights Ontario Tech’s commitment to investing in students and STEM-focused programs, to provide graduates who will make a difference in the medical field.

Students who successfully graduate with the minimum GPA in specific medicine- and health-related undergraduate programs, will be eligible for admission consideration to the Doctor of Medicine (MD) program at one of our partner institutions.

Those who successfully gain entry into an MD program will receive an automatic $20,000 (USD) scholarship, credited against their tuition. Qualified graduates are also eligible to apply for other scholarship programs, such as the Canadian Loyalty Scholarship, valued up to $65,000 (USD).

To learn more – including which program graduates are eligible for admission – visit the Medical School pathway web page.

“Ontario Tech University is a leader in Ontario’s higher education sector. Our commitment to providing students with the best possible education includes building strong academic ties with our global partners,” said Dr. Lori Livingston (pictured), provost and vice president, academic, Ontario Tech University. “We pride ourselves in the delivery of flexible learning opportunities that give more choices to more people. The Medical School Pathway may open the door to an amazing career path from a wide range of Ontario Tech programs.”
