New AI certificate program for clinicians at Michener
October 6, 2021
TORONTO – With a growing need for a fundamental understanding of how AI can and should be used in different healthcare fields, The Michener Institute and Vector Institute have partnered on a project funded by the Government of Canada’s Future Skills Centre to help accelerate the adoption of AI in healthcare.
The AI for Clinician Champions (AICC) Certificate Program – part of the Accelerating the Adoption of Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare project – aims to support practicing clinicians in Canada as they prepare for implementation of AI into their practices.
The program will provide clinicians with an overview of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in healthcare environments, data and risk management considerations, communicating AI opportunities, and change management strategies. Content will be provided online through pre-readings and pre-work, virtual class sessions, and post-work. The program wraps up with a personalized capstone project that will resonate with the clinician’s work environment.
