Newly created IT role at Nova Scotia Health

HALIFAX – Nova Scotia Health has welcomed Paul Allen (pictured) into the newly created role of Director IT Security, Risk Management & Digital Infrastructure. Moving to Nova Scotia Health from Nova Scotia Power, Paul comes with 24 years experience in various roles.
He has worked with numerous companies in Atlantic Canada, assisting with IT Strategic Plannning, Technology Risk Management and Technology Advisory Services, including system development, operations planning and marketing initiatives. He comes to the health authority with the ability to take theory and industry best practices and implement them, ensuring the alignment of technology with long-term business goals.
His consulting experience, project management and business analyst background constitute the perfect combination of skills to ensure strategies are aligned and implemented in a well-managed and maintainted environment.
Paul understands cyber risk management and is passionate about the importance of reducing risk in practical ways that makes sense to an organization. He plans to work with the various teams to see innovative ways to further digitize and secure the healthcare environment now and into the future.
