Learn how to manage privacy risks in healthcare
January 12, 2022
WATERLOO, Ont. – The amount of data being collected is increasing every day, as well as the importance of protecting it. Regulations and legal requirements for protecting data are rapidly changing. Organizations that lose the confidence of customers by a data privacy breach can be catastrophic and hurt the bottom line.
Everyone from new employees to C-Suite executives need to stay up-to-date. The ability to demonstrate that you have a leading privacy program will increase consumer confidence and customer satisfaction.
This course will teach you how to identify, assess and manage privacy risks in healthcare. It covers risk management principles, privacy impact assessment, threat and risk assessment, monitoring and audit, managing privacy breaches and complaints and privacy training.
The course also includes how to build privacy into the design and implementation of your programs, services and products through Privacy by Design (PbD). PbD is a proactive rather than reactive approach. You will learn PbD principles, privacy and security standards and guidelines, PbD and emerging technologies, in building security into your healthcare solutions.
