New joint accelerator program to grow digital health
February 2, 2022
OTTAWA – Calian Group, a diverse products and services company providing innovative solutions for the healthcare, communications, learning and security sectors and L-SPARK, Canada’s largest software-as-a-service accelerator, announce the first cohort of companies in their joint accelerator program, which aims to grow Canadian technology companies in the rapidly expanding area of digital health.
The program is designed to help these companies grow and bring their innovative software-as-a-service (SaaS) solutions to market by integrating with the Calian digital health platform. Doing so will enable value-added functionality across the care continuum. Chosen companies will also gain access to Calian sales and distribution channels and extensive customer base.
“L-SPARK is excited to play a critical role in building an ecosystem of best of breed healthcare solutions around the Calian digital health platform,” said Leo Lax (pictured), executive managing director at L-SPARK. “We look forward to watching the advancement and growth of the companies that make up the inaugural Calian L-SPARK MedTech Accelerator cohort over the coming months.”
“The healthcare industry is moving away from the closed, siloed systems of the past to a more open, interconnected ecosystem,” says Sacha Gera, president, IT and Cyber Solutions, Calian. “We’re excited to partner with these innovative Canadian companies to solve problems for our customers and increase the pace of digital transformation.”
Following a selection process, four companies have been accepted into the program:
