Equinoxe Lifecare appoints new CEO
April 6, 2022
MONTREAL – Equinoxe Lifecare, the leading private homecare service provider in Quebec, is pleased to announce the appointment of Jeremy Altman (pictured), a seasoned fintech executive, as chief executive officer to lead Equinoxe into its next stage of growth since the divestment of its EQ Care telehealth division to Telus Health in December 2020.
Danielle Pollack will transition to the position of executive chair and work alongside Jeremy in pursuing new avenues for growth while maintaining Equinoxe’s quality in-home care.
“I am excited to hand the reins of Equinoxe to Jeremy and to work with him to design timely and innovative in-home care services for the wider Canadian market. The need for the private sector to step up and support the existing public healthcare system is more vital now than ever before,” said Danielle Pollack, Equinoxe’s founder.
Jeremy Altman has about two decades of experience with fintech companies. Most recently, he was vice president of strategic partnerships at Paysafe Group, a leading specialized payments platform with annualized transactional volume of U.S. $100 billion in 2020.
Prior to joining Paysafe in 2017, he served as chief transformation officer at Oney Trust, leading the post-merger integration of two anti-fraud management companies. Before that, Jeremy was VP sales at SlimPay, a recurring payments fintech company where he led their European expansion as their first executive hire.
Earlier in his career, he worked as an investment officer and then a business development manager at Monext, a company that he helped to launch out of Experian’s payment division.
“Equinoxe Lifecare has a fantastic track record of improving patients’ quality of life. I am delighted to be joining the company at such an exciting time in its growth journey. The chance to work with Danielle and the whole team presents a truly unique opportunity. I look forward to driving Equinoxe Lifecare’s growth and having a significant impact in the industry,” said Mr. Altman.
