New CEO takes the reins at Transform SSO

April 6, 2022

Lynn BaluyotCHATHAM, Ont. – Noralyn (Lyn) Baluyot (pictured) has been appointed by Transform SSO to the position of chief executive officer effective March 31, 2022. TransForm Shared Service Organization is a not-for-profit, shared service organization founded by the five hospitals in Erie St. Clair to manage their hospital IT and supply chain needs.

As a leader in health system innovation, TransForm has developed and implemented advanced initiatives that improve efficiency and help customers focus on providing outstanding care and service.

Lyn is a seasoned leader with over 25 years of experience as a nurse, administrator and consultant. Since joining TransForm in November 2018 as vice president and chief transformation officer, she successfully led the most comprehensive clinical transformation program (e-VOLVE), resulting in the successful implementation of the Cerner Millennium hospital information system across four Erie St. Clair hospitals in big bang style during quite arguably the most trying time of healthcare: the COVID-19 pandemic.

Throughout her time with TransForm, Lyn has proven herself to be a leader and has demonstrated her commitment and willingness to put in the effort to see the organization succeed. These qualities, along with Lyn’s vision for the growth and development of TransForm were key considerations for the Board when making their selection.

While the appointment of Lyn speaks well of the CEO succession planning process, the Executive Committee in its capacity as CEO Search Committee, did oversee a robust recruitment effort, which included assessing and interviewing a number of internal and external candidates.

The succession planning process also incorporates an appropriate amount of overlap between TransForm’s current CEO, Paul Audet, to ensure a smooth transition takes place, including the transition of Lyn’s current role overseeing the Clinical Systems Transformation (CST) Division.
