Artificial intelligence

AI to enhance supply chain management

June 15, 2022

Fabrice BrunetMONTREAL – Logibec, a leader in the development and implementation of healthcare IT solutions, announced an agreement with the Centre hospitalier de l’Université de Montreal (CHUM) for the joint development of the DAL.IA solution (supply and logistics management with artificial intelligence), a predictive analysis tool that complements Logibec’s Financial and Material Management System (FMMS) solution in use throughout the healthcare provincial network.

This project is part of the modernization program of Logibec’s portfolio and demonstrates the company commitment towards digital and cloud technologies.

The objective of the DAL.IA project is to ensure supply fluidity to meet the growing demand for care delivery and, consequently, to improve the patient experience. The solution will make a significant contribution to overall hospital performance, notably through the implementation of a reinvigorated and intelligent supply chain based on predictive capabilities.

“Nowadays, healthcare organizations need to improve their performance to better meet the needs of the population. Logistics and supply are key in care distribution to ensure its quality. The DAL.IA project, which brings together the expertise of the CHUM and Logibec, will enable us to find new solutions in this area and demonstrate their value,” said Dr. Fabrice Brunet (pictured), CEO of the CHUM.

“Logibec continues to increase its procurement expertise by investing in the development of solutions that leverage the most recent technologies. The Financial and Material Management System (FMMS) solution meets the operational and financial efficiency needs of all facilities in the Quebec healthcare network. We are working with people on the ground to understand the challenges they face. The DAL.IA project is part of an innovation effort to better serve not only patients, but all stakeholders in the network,” observed Michel Desgagné, Logibec CEO.
