Ontario doctor receives CFPC Award of Excellence

TORONTO – Dr. Dominik Nowak (pictured), family physician and chief medical advisor at TELUS, has been named a 2022 recipient of the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC) Award of Excellence. The award recognizes family physicians who have made outstanding contributions to the Canadian health system.
Dr. Nowak was nominated for his leadership in building teamwork across the health system during COVID-19. As chief medical advisor at TELUS, Dr. Nowak bridges disciplines between health, community, and business – advocating toward a health system that he calls “more kind, caring, and careful.”

Dr. Nowak’s work to better health for all people in Canada has made him a recognized leader in primary care and health system strategy. We commend Dr. Nowak for his continued advocacy, and congratulate him for this well-deserved honour. He will be receiving the CFPC Award of Excellence in November of 2022.
