Philippe Marleau to retire from Hôpital Montfort
February 1, 2023
OTTAWA – It is with great emotion that Dr. Bernard Leduc, president and CEO of Hôpital Montfort, announced the departure of Philippe Marleau (pictured), who will be leaving Montfort in June 2023 to retire after more than 12 years in the hospital’s senior management team and more than 35 years in the healthcare system. Mr. Marleau is vice president of Quality and Patient Support Services, as well as the hospital’s chief information officer and privacy officer.
He came to Montfort with a unique perspective on the Eastern Ontario healthcare system, accumulated in chronic/complex continuing care (Saint-Vincent Hospital), long-term care (Glebe Center), as well as urban and rural hospitals (The Ottawa Hospital, Winchester District Memorial Hospital).
“Under Philippe’s leadership, Montfort has made remarkable progress in many areas, such as quality and risk management, compliments and complaints management, and decision support,” said Dr. Leduc. “Our continued progress in electronic medical records, particularly with MEDITECH, is probably the most well-known of Philippe’s and his team’s accomplishments.”
Philippe Marleau has also been very involved in the development of the patient-partner committee, whose members are now integrated into everything related to the patient’s experience and safety at Montfort.
“On behalf of myself and the entire Montfort team, I would like to thank Philippe for his outstanding commitment to Montfort over the past 12 years.”
The responsibilities associated with this position will be redistributed among other members of Montfort’s senior management team, as part of a reorganization project.
