Lanette Siragusa named new CEO of Shared Health
May 3, 2023
WINNIPEG – After the resignation of Adam Topp from Manitoba’s Shared Health, Lanette Siragusa (pictured) has now been named the organization’s new chief executive officer. A registered nurse, Siragusa initially joined Shared Health in 2017 and served as the organization’s first chief nursing officer and provincial lead of health system integration and quality.
In that role, she led the development of clinically-informed and evidence-based practices that form the foundation of Manitoba’s Clinical and Preventive Services Plan. She also served as the province’s COVID-19 co-incident commander.
Siragusa’s experience and contributions in the health system date back much further, ranging between a variety of clinical and administrative roles.
For the past 15 months, Siragusa had worked as vice-dean of education and associate director of Ongomiizwin Health Services at the University of Manitoba’s Rady Faculty of Health Sciences.
“Lanette Siragusa’s a born leader whose vast experience in healthcare make her a natural choice to lead our organization,” said Brenna Shearer, board chair for Shared Health’s board of directors. “We are delighted to welcome Lanette back to Shared Health as our CEO and believe her presence in our organization will benefit patients and staff throughout the province.”
Shared Health works collaboratively with regional health authorities, service delivery organizations and communities to ensure the healthcare needs of Manitobans are met compassionately, effectively and as close to home as possible.
