Trillium names Dante Morra chief of clinical innovation

MISSISSAUGA, Ont. – After 10 years of leadership, Dr. Dante Morra (pictured) has completed his full term as Trillium Health Partners’s chief of staff. Dr. Morra will be continuing his leadership at Trillium Health Partners as president of THP Solutions and in the inaugural role of chief of clinical innovation. He will be continuing his national work with CAN Health.
Over the past decade, Dr. Morra built and developed an outstanding medical leadership team, partnered with the THP Foundation to elevate the impact of philanthropy, and was an integral leader in THP’s pandemic response.
He has taken the lead role in many of THP’s transformational projects, including building the foundation for creating one patient experience across three sites.
Moreover, his work in innovation has been the driving force in changing patient care in the community and throughout Canada.
He also led the design and vision for research at THP, founding the Institute for Better Health (IBH) and launching the Mississauga Academy of Medicine in partnership with hospital leadership.
Dr. Morra is a specialist in internal medicine and also holds a Master of Business Administration. He is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto, and an Adjunct Professor at the Rotman School of Management.
An internationally recognized leader in hospital process improvement, healthcare innovation and effective allocation of resources, his work in system transformation has been recognized with numerous individual and team awards, including the 3M National Quality Award and the Goldie Award for Leadership.
Dr. Morra is the chair of the CAN Health Network – a national platform focused on scaling Canadian Health technology companies. He is an award-winning teacher and has a passion for teaching clinical medicine and health system transformation.
