Verto partners with CAMH on digital front door
July 12, 2023
TORONTO – The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) and Verto Health are collaborating to develop a web-based venue to support more integrated care for CAMH patients and care providers. Together, the two organizations will co-design, configure, and implement a comprehensive Digital Front Door platform to digitize the patient journey and support data-driven, measurement-based care.
The Digital Front Door platform will act as a single-point of entry for CAMH patients and families to receive information and services connecting clinical, education, and research resources. The platform will enable virtual care and over time, embed research opportunities into the care journey while integrating disparate patient facing information systems across CAMH to streamline experiences for patients and clinicians.
“Advances in technology have enabled new forms of connected healthcare, and CAMH is looking forward to leveraging this expertise to offer a seamless and intuitive online experience for our patients, families, and clinicians,” said Damian Jankowicz (pictured), VP Information Management, chief information officer & chief privacy office at CAMH. “Co-designing the Digital Front Door with Verto will not only help our community access and navigate CAMH services, it will also support more integrated research and clinical care to more quickly and effectively diagnose and treat our patients.”
With more than 5,000 physicians, clinicians, researchers, educators and support staff, CAMH offers care to more than 38,000 patients each year. The organization conducts groundbreaking research, provides expert training to healthcare professionals and scientists, develops innovative health promotion and prevention strategies, and advocates on public policy issues at all levels of government. By working with Verto to deploy a Digital Front Door, CAMH will be able to further improve access to its much-needed services.
“We are honoured to collaborate with CAMH to help them improve access to essential mental health services,” said Michael Millar, CEO and founder of Verto Health. “Demand for mental healthcare has never been higher and we are committed to working together with CAMH to deploy technology that will help scale their impact.”
