Arnprior implements Novari ATC system for surgery

October 4, 2023

Raeline McGrathKINGSTON, Ont. – Novari Health is pleased to announce it has completed another successful implementation of its surgical wait list management and eBooking technology. The Novari ATC software is being provided as software as a service to Arnprior and District Memorial Hospital and all surgical offices.

With bi-directional integration to the MEDITECH Expanse HIS system hosted by Queensway Carleton Hospital, the Novari software provides surgeons and their office staff access to a standardized electronic wait list management system and the ability to electronically coordinate the scheduling of surgeries and procedures with the hospital. The implementation of the Novari ATC system further enhances the Champlain sub-region’s use of the Novari Centralized Regional Surgical Wait List Management HUB.

The Ontario Ministry of Health, Ontario Health, and hospitals across the province have been working to mitigate the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on patients waiting for many healthcare services. Having a state-of-the-art wait list and backlog management system complements these efforts for all patients including those waiting for cardiac, surgical, and other services.

“Implementing Novari ATC software aligns well with our strategic priority to maximize the use of digital health technology to provide a seamless patient experience. Utilizing a modern real-time surgical wait list platform and eBooking technology we can improve surgical waits for patients, streamline surgical team workflows, and easily access our data for monthly reporting. Ultimately, this will help improve the quality of care our providers can deliver,” said Raeline McGrath (pictured) RN, MN, vice president Patient Services and chief nurse executive, Arnprior Regional Health.

Novari Health’s innovative and unique access to care technologies are live and being implemented at hospitals and regional health authorities in Canada and Australia. The Novari access to care platform helps improve access to care, wait times, and drive efficiencies for patients accessing a wide variety of health care services including surgery, mental health & addictions, diabetes, cardiac, medical imaging, etc.

“The Champlain sub-region and its hospitals lead the country in implementing centralized wait list management systems. With these Novari technologies in place, the region is well positioned to coordinate surgical wait lists and surgical services,” added John Sinclair CPHIMS-CA, president, Novari Health.
