Brightshores Health System announces new executives

OWEN SOUND, Ont. – Brightshores Health System announced that Beth Morris (pictured on left) will join Brightshores as vice president Clinical Services & Quality, chief nursing executive (CNE) on September 30 and Tim Pemberton (pictured on right) will begin as vice president, Digital Health & Technology, CIO, CPO on September 9th.
Beth Morris brings a wide range of executive nursing and hospital operations experience to Brightshores. She has served as chief nursing officer (interim) at Brant Community Healthcare System and was also associate dean of Mohawk College. At Hamilton Health Sciences, she was chief of Interprofessional Practice.
She is an advocate for regional health planning and has a strong understanding of the benefits of systems planning and collaborative partnerships in building, accessing and delivering patient care. Beth will lead Brightshores’ clinical programs and planning for a quality care portfolio.
Tim Pemberton most recently held the position of vice president, Mental Health, Diagnostic Services, chief information officer and chief privacy officer at Queensway Carleton Hospital in Ottawa.
The vice president, Digital Health & Technology, CIO, CPO is a new position for Brightshores to support the advancement of clinical digital transformation across its regional network of 16 hospitals. Tim will lead the digital teams to support clinical care and quality advancements.
Brightshores Health System operates six hospitals in the Grey Bruce region. Its mission is to build healthier communities one patient at a time. It has 1,900 dedicated and compassionate staff and over 150 physicians who work together delivering excellent patient care to residents and visitors across Grey Bruce.
Its Regional Hospital in Owen Sound is the largest of its sites, and offers a full range of specialty services, including complex surgeries, total joint replacements, cancer surgeries, MRI and CT diagnostic services. Across the six hospitals, it has more than 100,000 patient visits per year.
Its rural hospitals in Lion’s Head, Markdale, Meaford, Southampton and Wiarton offer a wide range of primary and ambulatory care services and all have 24/7 Emergency departments, lab and X-ray.
