Akinox hires Mark Casselman as chief growth officer

QUEBEC CITY – Akinox announced that Mark Casselman (pictured) is joining the company in the role of chief growth officer. Mark brings more than 20 years of experience as a leader in healthcare and technology, including his recent role as CEO of Digital Health Canada. As a key member of the executive team at Akinox, Mark will focus on strategic growth, ecosystem leadership and building strong relationships with stakeholders and clients across Canada.

Previously, Mark Casselman served as the chief executive officer of Digital Health Canada, a national association that connects, inspires, and educates the digital health professionals creating the future of health in Canada. Mark has 20 years of experience in leading strategic engagements, business development, large-scale transformation initiatives, and innovation management in the field of digital health.
Mark is an experienced tri-sector executive leader. He has championed consumer-focused health information products and services across multiple industries and sectors, including healthcare, research, and government. He has a strong track record of developing and implementing go-to-market strategies, business cases, technology roadmaps, and stakeholder partnerships for disruptive and impactful solutions. Mark is passionate about transforming health service delivery and enhancing the health of Canadians.
Prior Digital Health Canada, Mark was director, Healthcare Consulting (national lead, mHealth), where he led PwC mHealth practice to provide tailored solutions to private- and public-sector companies, research organizations, healthcare providers and government.
He also served as senior manager, Centre for Global eHealth Innovation & SIMS senior manager, Centre for Global eHealth Innovation & SIMS at the University Health Network. He led teams in design, development, implementation, and evaluation of mHealth projects. Strategic planning related to development and deployment of mobile remote patient monitoring system in hospital, community, and home health care settings. Developed business cases and proposals, commercialization and go-to-market strategies, and acted as mHealth expert and consultant for internal business units.
