Wait Lists

Halton Healthcare to deploy Novari surgical wait list technology

January 29, 2025

Siuwin WongOAKVILLE, Ont. – Novari Health, a global leading provider of innovative digital wait list management, central intake, and referral management tools, has executed an agreement with Halton Healthcare to implement its surgical wait list management and eBooking technology.

Halton Healthcare is joining hospitals across Canada that have implemented the Novari ATC software to help enhance surgical efficiency and improve access to surgical services at its three hospital sites, Georgetown Hospital, Milton District Hospital and Oakville Trafalgar Memorial. Novari technology allows hospitals and healthcare systems to seamlessly manage complex wait lists in a way that maximizes operating room time, helps reduce surgical backlogs and reduces the administrative burden on clinicians and staff.

The Novari technology will seamlessly integrate with Halton Healthcare’s hospital medical record system, Meditech Expanse. Novari technologies complement and integrate with hospital information systems and electronic medical record systems including Epic, Meditech, Oracle Health (Cerner) and others.

Healthcare systems around the world continue to grapple with the legacy effects of the COVID-19 pandemic and human healthcare resources (HHR) shortages. To help offset these challenges, Novari Health provides state-of-the-art referral management, central intake, and wait list management solutions. These systems streamline the management of wait lists for medical imaging, surgery, mental health, diabetes, and other clinical services that have experienced unprecedented backlogs in recent years.

“We are excited to implement Novari ATC solutions at Halton Healthcare. This initiative will significantly enhance our ability to track wait times, improve data quality, and streamline electronic data collection,” said Siuwin Wang (pictured), director of Digital Health, Halton Healthcare. “By integrating Novari ATC, we will be able to provide a more efficient and seamless experience for our patients and healthcare providers. We are committed to leveraging advanced technology to deliver superior healthcare services and improve patient outcomes. Specifically, we anticipate our patients will benefit from reduced wait times and more accurate, timely information about their care, leading to a better overall healthcare experience.”

“Past implementations of our software, and now this latest deployment at Halton Healthcare, are meaningful on a personal level, as both of my children were born at Oakville Memorial Hospital. To be able to enhance Halton Healthcare’s ability to serve their patients is truly rewarding,” commented John Sinclair, president & CEO, Novari Health.
