WATERLOO and HAMILTON, Ont. – The National Institutes of Health Informatics and McMaster University Continuing Education are offering new micro-courses for healthcare professionals, beginning spring 2025. They are: “Leadership In Healthcare: Change Leadership,” and “Introduction to Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare.”
Leadership in Healthcare: Change Leadership
Weekly: Wednesdays, April 16 – June 11, 2025

Change Leadership offers a concise yet comprehensive overview of strategies for effectively leading organizational change within the healthcare sector. This course emphasizes the importance of vision and strategy, a focus on people, and clear communication in leading effective and meaningful change. Key topics include planning and implementing change, measuring progress and success, overcoming barriers, and fostering a culture that embraces change. More Information
Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare
Weekly: Thursday, April 3 – June 19, 2025. No session on April 10 or May 15
Two sections available for registration: 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM ET, 12:30 – 1:30 PM ET
Participants completing this course will gain a comprehensive understanding of the three main areas of Artificial Intelligence (AI) – narrow, general, and super, Machine Learning, Neural Networks, Natural Language Processing and Deep Learning, within the context of healthcare.
