Lime Health offers intelligent scribe for patients

August 20, 2025

Francis RobichaudQUEBEC CITY – Lime Health announced the launch of Emilia, the first intelligent scribe designed specifically for patients. This new Canadian-developed technology securely records medical consultations and automatically generates simplified summaries using artificial intelligence.

Emilia directly addresses a well-known challenge: patients often retain less than half of the information shared during medical visits. This can lead to poor understanding, reduced treatment adherence, and increased anxiety. By providing clear, accessible summaries, the app empowers patients to become active participants in their health journey.

“We believe Emilia is a breakthrough for patients,” said Francis Robichaud (pictured), founder and CEO of Lime Health. “Too often, people leave a medical appointment feeling uncertain about what was said or what to do next. Emilia provides a clear, accessible summary they can revisit anytime, helping them understand their care and feel confident about the next steps. By empowering patients to actively participate in their health, Emilia fosters trust and delivers a better patient experience and improved outcomes.”

The solution is also designed to improve health equity by adapting to varying levels of health literacy and overcoming language barriers. The ability to review summaries at any time strengthens continuity of care and improves overall health outcomes.

Developed with the support of Elewana Advisory, Emilia will be available in September 2025 on the Apple App Store and Google Play. Medical clinics, hospitals, and healthcare organizations interested in deploying the app within their facilities or collaborating on the project can contact the Lime Health team at innovation@lime.health.
