Horizon Health partners with AI leader in DI

FREDERICTON, N.B. – Horizon Health Network (Horizon) is partnering with Qure.ai, a global leader in healthcare artificial intelligence, to implement an advanced AI-powered lung cancer detection and management solution.

The Qure.ai solution uses advanced AI to assist radiologists and clinicians in identifying suspicious lung nodules and assessing cancer risk through chest X-ray and CT scan analysis. Lung cancer remains the leading cause of cancer-related deaths in Canada, and early detection can significantly improve survival rates and reduce the need for intensive therapeutic or surgical intervention.

The AI-powered solution will enhance Horizon’s capacity to analyze chest imaging, supporting clinicians in managing increased volumes while maintaining high-quality, patient-centered care.

The Qure.ai lung cancer suite includes three integrated components: qXR-LN for incidental detection of lung nodules on chest X-rays; qCT-Quant for assessment and quantification of lung nodules on CT scans; and qTrack for coordinated patient management to support lung nodule clinics and care navigation.

AI has the power to cast a wider net, to identify small lung nodules that can be indicative of early-stage lung cancer on routine CT and X-rays that may be obtained for other indications.
