CAN Health and MMC to expand partnership

January 7, 2026

Dante MorraOAKVILLE, Ont. – The Coordinated Accessible National (CAN) Health Network has announced an expanded partnership with Mohawk Medbuy Corporation (MMC) to create a more direct pathway from healthcare innovation to procurement.

As one of CAN Health’s original founding partners, MMC plays a critical role in helping Canadian health care organizations identify, evaluate and adopt innovative solutions that improve care delivery and system performance.

Through this expanded partnership, select CAN Health Network companies will have the opportunity to be listed within Mohawk Medbuy’s industry-leading digital procurement portal, creating a new pathway for Canadian health operators to discover, evaluate, and procure made-in-Canada health technologies.

Mohawk Medbuy Corporation is one of Canada’s largest group purchasing organizations, supporting hospitals, health systems, and public sector organizations across the country and representing a significant share of Canada’s institutional health care purchasing market. Its national scale and trusted procurement infrastructure position it as a powerful platform for accelerating the adoption of high-impact innovation.

This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to ensuring Canadian health operators have access to leading-edge technology, while strengthening Canada’s domestic economy. By connecting vetted Canadian companies with established procurement pathways, the partnership helps reduce adoption barriers, shorten sales cycles, and enable solutions to scale more rapidly across jurisdictions.

“From the very beginning, Mohawk Medbuy understood that innovation and procurement must work together if we want to modernize Canada’s health care system,” said Dr. Dante Morra (pictured), founder and CEO of the CAN Health Network. “This next phase of our partnership creates real, practical access for Canadian innovators while giving health operators confidence that the solutions they are exploring have been validated in real-world settings. It is a win for patients, a win for providers, and a win for Canadian companies.”

“Mohawk Medbuy is proud to have been a founding partner of CAN Health since 2019, and we are excited to build on that foundation,” said Tony DiEmanuele, president and CEO of Mohawk Medbuy Corporation. “By opening our portal to CAN Health companies, we are helping our members more easily identify innovative Canadian solutions that deliver value, quality, and impact across the health care system.”

Together, CAN Health and Mohawk Medbuy are helping to align innovation, validation, and procurement, ensuring that promising Canadian technologies can move more efficiently from pilot to scale. As health systems across the country face growing pressures, this partnership demonstrates how collaboration can unlock better outcomes while building a stronger, more self-sufficient Canadian health care economy.
