Lab innovation and leadership forum coming up in October
September 16, 2026
TORONTO – Please join us at the Canadian Diagnostic Executive Forum (CDEF) 2026, taking place in Toronto from October 18-20. Brought to you by In-Common Laboratories (ICL), the CDEF is the premier gathering for shaping the future of diagnostics in Canada. Industry leaders will discuss emerging trends, operational excellence, and the evolving role of diagnostics in improving patient care across the country.
This year’s theme is Powering Innovation in Canadian Lab Medicine, and the full agenda is available at cdeforum.ca.
One of the conference’s most popular sessions, the Cross Country Check-Up, will bring together laboratory leaders to share what’s happening in their provinces and regions.
“Having attended the CDEF for the past two conferences, I have found it to be an invaluable opportunity to connect with colleagues from across the country and gain insight into how other jurisdictions are addressing common health care challenges,” says Sheri-Lynn Heighington (pictured), laboratory information manager at Yukon Hospital Corporation. “The forum fosters meaningful discussions around technology, data innovation, and workforce solutions, providing practical ideas and perspectives that can be brought back to support improvements within our own organization and communities.”
ICL is proudly Canadian and intentionally not-for-profit. Our mission is enhancing access to laboratory services that improve care and support the public health care system through innovation and collaboration. The CDEF forum is a chance for all of us to connect and be part of shaping what’s next. Learn more and register today at cdeforum.ca.
