Hospitality Network expands into telehealth

April 19, 2017

Avizia

MISSISSAUGA, Ont. – Hospitality Network Canada Inc., a healthcare solutions company for hospitals and senior care homes across Canada, has announced a partnership with Avizia, a leading end-to-end telehealth solution provider. With this new partnership, Avizia will provide Hospitality Network and its customers with affordable, industry-leading telehealth technology, carts and peripherals.

“Expanding access to care and getting patients to the right specialist at the right time is what we at Avizia are all about,” said Avizia CEO and co-founder Mike Baird. “We’re excited to be working with HNCI to expand access to care for the hospitals and seniors they serve and look forward to innovating together to improve the health of Canadians.”

Avizia offers an award-winning telehealth platform that builds the foundation for virtual care with specialty call calendars, patient queues, video visits, documentation, and by enabling collaboration between providers through secure text, voice, and video.

According to the company, it’s the only enterprise end-to-end telehealth platform that combines industry-leading video devices with award-winning clinical workflow software solutions to streamline care coordination, provider collaboration, and patient engagement.

With its solution, Avizia gives patients access to their care team for scheduled and on-demand virtual care.

In addition, Avizia will also provide HNCI with award-winning telemedicine carts known for their reliability, easy-to-use controls, and versatility to perform in a wide range of clinical applications and settings.

Serge Lafleur, HNCI’s chief executive officer and president said, “This partnership will strengthen our value proposition to our existing and new customer base. It offers unique technologies, enabling hospital, health districts and private healthcare providers to increase their efficiency and reach patients that are in need of their services.”

HNCI will remain the leading Canadian provider of integrated bedside terminals and solutions to healthcare institutions and hospitals. “This is an exciting time for HNCI as we build on our 50-year history of providing innovative products and solutions to our diverse healthcare customers,” said Lafleur.

Through its recent work with the First Nations Telehealth Expansion Project, Avizia helped transform Primary Care in British Columbia with an enhanced care delivery model that integrates telehealth to connect patients to the care they need. In 2016, more than 100,000 telemedicine consultations were completed using Avizia’s clinical workflow solutions, including more than 47,000 telestroke visits.
