ICU Medical sets up Canadian HQ in Montreal

MONTREAL – ICU Medical, Inc., a leader in the development, manufacture, and sale of innovative medical devices used in infusion therapy, oncology, and critical care applications, announced it has established its Canadian headquarters in Montreal to bring the company’s IV therapy products and services to the Canadian market.
ICU Medical acquired the Hospira Infusion Systems business from Pfizer in February 2017, making it one of the world’s premier pure-play infusion therapy companies. The company has a wide-ranging product portfolio that includes IV solutions, IV smart pumps, dedicated and non-dedicated IV sets, and needle-free connectors, along with pain management and safety software technology designed to help meet clinical, safety, and workflow goals.
In addition, the company manufactures automated pharmacy IV compounding systems with workflow technology, closed system transfer devices for hazardous IV drugs, and cardiac monitoring systems to optimize patient fluid levels.
