ICU Medical sets up Canadian HQ in Montreal

February 7, 2018

ICU Medical

MONTREAL – ICU Medical, Inc., a leader in the development, manufacture, and sale of innovative medical devices used in infusion therapy, oncology, and critical care applications, announced it has established its Canadian headquarters in Montreal to bring the company’s IV therapy products and services to the Canadian market.

ICU Medical acquired the Hospira Infusion Systems business from Pfizer in February 2017, making it one of the world’s premier pure-play infusion therapy companies. The company has a wide-ranging product portfolio that includes IV solutions, IV smart pumps, dedicated and non-dedicated IV sets, and needle-free connectors, along with pain management and safety software technology designed to help meet clinical, safety, and workflow goals.

In addition, the company manufactures automated pharmacy IV compounding systems with workflow technology, closed system transfer devices for hazardous IV drugs, and cardiac monitoring systems to optimize patient fluid levels.

“Our unmatched focus and commitment to IV therapy excellence will allow us to better meet the needs of healthcare providers and patients in Canada,” said Joseph Kessler, managing director of ICU Medical Canada.

“With all of our departments under one roof, we are in position to respond quickly and efficiently to ensure that we continue to meet the needs of our Canadian customers. No other company can offer customers the range of safe handling solutions that we do.”
