Meditech specialist expands to Canada

February 7, 2018

David Lafontaine

WESTBOROUGH, Mass. – Navin, Haffty and Associates (NHA) is pleased to announce it is now offering consulting services to the Canadian Meditech market. In business for 17 years and the largest consulting firm dedicated exclusively to providing Meditech services, NHA has traditionally focused on the United States as its primary geographic market.

The decision to enter Canada is largely based on Meditech’s recent growth and expansion of its 6.1 and Web Enterprise Health Record (EHR) throughout the Canadian provinces. Hospitals implementing this new technology will benefit from NHA’s experience to achieve successful outcomes.

According to NHA senior vice president David LaFontaine (pictured), “NHA has a very strong footprint in the Meditech 6.1 and Web EHR market across the U.S., and we plan to bring our experience and expertise to Canadian hospitals implementing this new technology.

“Meditech has had a presence in Canada for over 35 years and remains a dominant force in the Canadian hospital market, and is continuing to grow its presence throughout. We are entering the Canadian market at a very exciting time and are well positioned to expand our services to provide Meditech’s customer base with access to the largest and most experienced 6.1 and Web EHR consulting firm.”

NHA’s expansion coincides with the signing of its first Canadian client, where NHA will lead the implementation of the advanced clinicals suite of products as part of a health system’s migration from Meditech 6.x to the new Web EHR platform.

Serving customers in Canada for over 35 years, Meditech is the leading EHR vendor in the country with 41 percent of the acute care market share. The Meditech EHR is installed in more than 570 facilities, in seven out of ten provinces, and in two of three territories.
