Webinar

Webinar teaches skills for tech procurement

April 24, 2019

BonfireKITCHENER, Ont. – Technology procurement teams are under pressure to find the balance between best outcomes for patients and clinicians, and best value for taxpayer dollars. In this webinar, hear from procurement leaders on how they leverage purpose-built sourcing software to manage the RFP evaluation process for best-value decisions.

Many procurement teams are meeting the procurement challenge through increasingly innovative strategies that focus on achieving a specific outcome, rather than meeting a predefined list of specs.

Still, all too often, current procurement technology is stuck in the past. When it comes to complex, clinically sensitive projects, ERPs and basic bidding tools lack the flexibility and functionality to support the process.

The result? Procurement ends up with a major coordination challenge and mountains of paperwork.

Procurement software specialist Bonfire has organized a webinar that demonstrates new methods of improving the healthcare technology procurement process. These techniques have been assisting healthcare organizations across Canada.

Webinar Speaker:
Janice Mount, Senior Contracts Specialist. St. Joseph’s Health System, Group Purchasing Organization.

As the Senior Contract Specialist, Janice leads and supports over 400 member facilities and leads RFP projects on behalf of member hospitals to facilitate the acquisition of capital equipment. She is responsible for high volume initiatives that maximize savings and increase efficiencies across multiple hospitals, while ensuring their individual needs are also met in a fair, transparent, and compliant manner, following broader Public Sector Procurement Directive. Janice is also responsible for leading teams through the successful implementation of new technologies.

Through real-life examples, learn how healthcare procurement teams can:

  • Balance price and nonprice criteria in their evaluation;
  • Manage a more efficient evaluation process; and
  • Ensure patient outcomes are front and centre in their RFP decisions.
