Jack Nathan Health appoints new CTO

November 4, 2020

Serge CinelliTORONTO – Jack Nathan Medical Corp., a provider of primary care medical clinics located in Walmart Supercentres under the Jack Nathan Health brand, has appointed digital health expert Serge Cinelli (pictured) as Chief Technology Officer (CTO).

His responsibilities will include developing, executing and rolling out the company’s proprietary technology that increases patient connectivity and creates better outcomes for patients, practitioners and communities.

“I’m excited to welcome Serge Cinelli to our senior leadership team,” said Mike Marchelletta, president and Co-Founder of Jack Nathan Health. “He brings unparalleled experience in healthcare technology and understands the industry intimately. Jack Nathan Health’s digital strategy is central to our growth and success. Serge’s skill set and expertise will ensure we continue to create better healthcare outcomes for patients, practitioners and communities.”

Serge Cinelli has a history of developing and implementing digital health solutions including integrated payment, referrals, insurance claims, billing and EMR platforms.

During his time with OntarioMD he supported the creation and implementation of the Ontario EMR validation process, the regulatory framework for all current EMR platforms in Ontario. As an executive at a chain of diagnostic imaging centres, Serge managed and maintained custom developed EMR, electronic physician referrals and reports, and billing software for practitioners.

Serge was responsible for IT planning, implementation and support through the network of 20 multi-disciplinary clinics that included over 100 healthcare providers specializing in family medicine.

As head of project management at Joseph Brant Hospital he effectively introduced and integrated new hardware and software technologies. Serge has a Master in Health Science, a Bachelor of Computer Science with a Software Engineering specialization and a diploma in Mechanical Engineering.

“The intersection of technology and universal healthcare is defining the patient experience in many ways across the globe,” said Serge Cinelli. “Jack Nathan Health’s technology roadmap is a vital component of the ecosystem we are building to ensure patients have much greater access and control over their interaction with healthcare professionals.”

He added, “In addition, practitioners must benefit from greater efficiencies through the integration of our technology solutions. The company’s objective to automate, centralize and customize services will reduce the administrative burden of running a clinic. I’m thrilled to be joining Jack Nathan Health. This is the best opportunity for me to impact the way healthcare evolves.”
