Developer of brain health app raises $9.2 million

July 21, 2021

Ranj BathTORONTO – Nurosene Health Inc. has announced the successful closing of its initial public offering of common shares on the Canadian Securities Exchange under the symbol “MEND”. The offering enabled the company to raise $9.2 million. Nurosene Health Inc. is a technology-driven wellness company focused on providing healthy habits focused on the mind, body and brain to improve daily mental wellness and overall brain health.

Nurosene has launched its mobile application, which provides users with habit-forming strategies, along with a line of proprietary nutraceutical supplements which have been formulated to support a healthy life through targeting specific cell structures and their inherent functions.

“We are excited to announce that we have closed our over-subscribed initial public offering. This is testament to the amazing team that we have pulled together to pursue our business objectives. Closing the offering is an indication of the support from investors who share our view that mental wellness is a systemic problem that needs to be addressed and we look forward to embarking on this journey together, towards building healthier brains,” said Ranj Bath (pictured), CEO of Nurosene.

Nurosene says it incorporates leading-edge technology in its solution, which includes artificial intelligence. Thre is also integrated proprietary facial capture technology in Nuro, which detects facial coordinates in 6D and eye tracking. The company is also conducting research studies using passive data sources like Apple Health Kit and Google Fit to develop hypotheses correlated to mental health driven through our mobile application.

Nurosene’s founders are addressing the worldwide rise in mental illness. According to the company, it is estimated that at least 10% of the world’s population is affected by mental, neurological and substance use disorders, and that 20% of children and adolescents suffer from some type of mental disorder. People are affected by depression globally, and women are more affected than men. However, 76% to 85% of people with mental disorders receive no treatment because of stigma, cost and accessibility.

Nurosene provides solutions that empower individuals to take control of their mental wellness for a brighter future. The purpose is to strengthen the relationship between nature and technology to help restore balance in people’s lives.
